Our client is looking for a NAT Lab Manager II, is responsible for the technical, scientific and operational oversight of the NAT Pooling and Testing laboratory in accordance with established Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), applicable sections of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), with emphasis on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA), and applicable policies, procedures and quality initiatives. They serve as the CLIA Technical Supervisor and Director Designee. The Manager plans and directs the NAT pooling, testing, and result reporting activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the day-to-day operations of BTL-AL PCR Pooling Labs: Directly manages the supervisors of the Source and Recovered NAT Pooling and Testing Labs Interviews, hires, and supervises performance of NAT laboratory staff Oversees NAT sample pooling, equipment and result management functions to ensure accuracy and that sample testing is performed, completed, and reported in a timely manner Organize and prioritize workloads and assignments in conjunction with business requirements Evaluates workflow, new equipment and test methodologies Evaluates laboratory systems, processes, procedures and equipment as they relate to operating efficiency, effectiveness and regulatory compliance Reviews sample pooling, quality control, and other testing reports for accuracy, completeness and compliance to requirements to ensure that quality standards, and schedules are met for release to Quality Assurance for the final batch release Provide technical assistance to staff, operations, and donor centers in NAT laboratory related issues Provides technical direction and expertise to new projects or product lines requiring laboratory support and evaluation Advises Director of Operations, Quality Assurance Manager and technical personnel of laboratory pooling/testing activities Participate in operational excellence initiatives and projects to drive a culture of continuous improvement to achieve site operational excellence and BioScience Operating System (BOS) goals (including but not limited to 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Developing Defect Free Processes (DDFP)
