Recruitment & Employee Advocacy Specialist

Details: Essential Function Recruits new employees for designated divisions or departments. Executes strategies that attract and hire a diverse pool of internal and external candidate and executes strategies that retain our internal talent. Evaluates and makes recommendations for new employee orientation and facilitates for designated divisions or departments. Plays a primary role in assisting in the administration of Human Resources related functions. Interprets and resolves questions pertaining to employment policies and procedures. Primary Responsibilities & Duties Actively recruits qualified diverse candidates through various resources and participate in networking opportunities to create an image as the employer of choice in the community. Conducts research and makes recommendations to achieve the recruitment strategies. Evaluates current selection tools and recommends new selection tools to ensure the most suitable job match is identified, and makes recommendations for improvement in tools and process. Conducts interviews with prospective applicants, tracks all solicited resumes and applications, administer and score employment assessments, and requests all investigative employment screenings. Responsible for coordinating, developing and updating training materials for New Employee Orientation. Understands, interprets and communicates policies and procedures in accordance with the Teachers Credit Union employee policy handbook. Responsible for investigating and coaching managers with employee issues such as disciplinary actions, provides recommendations for problem resolution to management. Assists employees/managers with effective use of the HRIS systems Responsible for assistance and guidance of managers with administering disciplinary actions in accordance with Teachers Credit Union policies. Prepares and examines new employee folders to ensure all files are complete. Conducts audits of the other divisions to ensure proper record keeping is maintained. Maintains current records on the Human Resources Information System for the designated divisions or departments. Responsible for managing confidential information. Assists with Human Resources projects as assigned. Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union. Specific Skills Interviewing Skills Strong organizational skills Active Listening skills Ability to communicate and interact with internal and External customers in a positive and constructive manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and facilitation skills Self starter and ability to exercise independent judgment Demonstrated experience in balancing multiple tasks and priorities Knowledge of Federal, State & local regulations (EEOC, ADA, Workers Compensation, FMLA) Ability to utilize Human Resource software applications Demonstrated project management and time management skills Minimum Requirement BS/BA degree in Business or HR/Organizational Development or equivalent work experience 3 years experience working in Human Resources. 2 - 3 years Recruiting and Employee Relations experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Work, Excel, and Power Point Accountability Accountable for recruiting diverse, qualified candidates for positions in designated divisions or departments. Accountable for quality of work and support provided for the designated divisions or departments. Accountable for the timeliness and accuracy of all functions performed and the rendering of quality and friendly assistance to employees and other contacts, both in person and on the telephone. Accountable for meeting Federal, State & local regulations in all aspects of functions performed. Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
