Details: Essential Function Coordinate with internal staff and vendors to design, develop, and manage systems, hardware and software infrastructure to meet standards for performance, continuity, capacity, availability, and security including physical and virtual servers, storage, backup and recovery, and directory services. Primary Responsibilities & Duties Manage storage area networks including provisioning and presenting storage, creating fiber channel zones, and managing the replication of volumes between sites. Manage virtual server environment including creating and managing virtual servers, creating and maintaining recovery plans, managing host hardware, managing physical and virtual resources. Manage Windows Servers and Active Directory including creating and managing group policies, creating and maintaining user accounts and groups, building and manage SQL Servers and SQL Server clusters, building and managing web servers and load-balanced, web server pools. Assess systems and technology, analyze system performance analysis, plan system integration, develop specifications, and test and evaluate solutions. Develop and maintain standards, procedures and documentation for all systems and infrastructure Reviews and develops plans for technology and monitors performance to ensure operating effectiveness in delivering information with budgetary constraints. Assist in the planning and development of new technology to improve performance and productivity, reduce IT costs and improve profitability. Design, implement and maintain systems access security, software and methodology and data integrity consistent with the security and DLP policies. Develops and implements information security standard and procedures for systems, applications, and third-party systems and vendors Design, implement, and support system operations across multiple data centers on 365x7x24 basis Provide Tier 3 support and escalation and act as a subject matter expert for servers, storage and operating systems. Support and execute incident, problem and change management processes according to established policies and procedures. Monitor system capacity and performance, performs preventative maintenance, and develop plans for long-term and short-term computing needs Solve complex problem situations and participate in the identification of opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures, or tools. Develop and document best practices and procedures for installing and maintaining systems Coordinate and execute of tasks within configuration management, change management, performance assessment, engineering analysis and system integrations Leads teams on engineering including planning, change management, monitoring execution, and status reporting, according to establish project management processes Coaches engineers, administrators, and other IT team members in TCU standards, techniques, technologies, and methodologies. Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union. Specific Skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, VMware, Backup/Recovery, and NAS/SAN systems Working knowledge of networking and firewalls Data entry skills, mathematical and logical aptitude and general interpersonal skills are necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are absolutely necessary. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Works with little supervision with respect to scheduling and assignments of tasks with results and progress occasionally reviewed. Must be available for non-business hours support and after-hours work, including on-call rotation when necessary. Minimum Requirement Prefer 4 year college degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or Microsoft Certification or equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience with VMware systems 4+ years of experience with NAS/SAN systems, preferably EMC 4+ years of experience in managing Windows Server and Active Directory 4+ years of experience in managing MS SQL Server Accountability Responsible for completion of all work assigned within the predetermined deadlines. Accountable for protection of security and confidentiality of all systems maintained. Accountable for the approving and purchasing of IT purchases as indicated in TCU’s Fixed Asset Policy (IT Network Purchasing Specialist) and TCU’s Cash Expenditure Policy (IT Purchasing Specialist). Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
