Manager of IT (South Bend, IN)

Details: Essential Function Directs the IT Engineering and Operations teams to design and manage network and system infrastructure to meet organizational service levels for performance, continuity, capacity, availability, and security standards within budgetary guidelines. Primary Responsibilities & Duties Lead design, development, maintenance, and monitoring of TCU’s infrastructure including PCs, networks, servers, data storage, firewalls, and backups. Responsible for directing staff to research technology solutions to meet current and future system needs of the organization. Develop and validate disaster recovery plans that align with the organization’s recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives Develop and manage the vulnerability management program according to established information security standards. Develop and manage operating and capital budget based on business needs and long-term asset planning Optimize performance through monitoring and measuring systems to service level agreements. Select and manage vendors and outsourced services to meet service level agreements. Develop and maintain procedures and documentation for all systems and infrastructure. Support and execute incident, problem and change management processes according to establish policies and procedures Develop long-term technology strategies by aligning technology with the organizational objectives. Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the advancement and growth of the credit union and the IT engineering staff. Specific Skills Strong technical skills in web applications, databases, client-server applications, and networking Experience managing financial systems, lending systems, internet banking, and telephony Ability to collaborate with executives, technical and non-technical staff on cross-functional teams and projects to develop high-value products, services, and relationships Ability to analyze business needs and technical requirements to acquire and implement systems Strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to lead and direct a team of administrators and engineers Ability to manage multiple project teams and meet set deadlines Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff. Minimum Requirement 5 or more years’ experience in system administration, IT operations, systems development or related field 5 or more years’ experience in managing direct reports 5 or more years’ experience in managing cross-functional project teams 5 or more years’ experience in banking or financial services is preferred Experience in using ITIL framework is preferred Accountability Accountable for all goals and objectives as set forth in the performance management system. Responsible for completion of all work assigned within the predetermined deadlines. Accountable for protection of security and confidentiality of all systems maintained. Accountable for the approving and purchasing of IT purchases as indicated in TCU’s Fixed Asset Policy (IT Network Purchasing Specialist) and TCU’s Cash Expenditure Policy (IT Purchasing Specialist). Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
