Details: This position requires 06-24 months lending experience and is responsible for processing of mortgage loan files and pre-underwriting prior to submitting for final underwriting. Good organizational skills, along with substantial knowledge of guidelines and procedures for all types of mortgage loans offered by the bank, are critical. Interpersonal skills are critical as this position is customer and Realtor focused and also works with other staff within the department. This position requires face to face and phone interaction with customers and referral sources. The incumbent must be able to communicate with these individuals with respect, courtesy, and appreciation for doing business with the bank. Incumbent must demonstrate knowledge of the industry in terms of laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act relative to the job responsibilities. Receives loan application files and updates LOS daily to ensure accuracy of reporting. Gathers necessary documents to process loans and analyze credit, capacity and collateral to investor requirements. When additional information is needed from borrower, Loan Officer, or Realtor the Processor is to be proactive in contacting necessary parties to obtain information to insure commitment and closing dates are met. Responsible for clearing suspense issues and responding to Q.C. issues related to their job function. Assists other departments and fellow team members with their workloads to ensure a smooth flow of production of loans, which are eligible for sale to investors. Responsible for completely pre-underwriting loans utilizing Underwriting Condition Sheet and AUS findings prior to submission for final underwriting. Proactively researches investor guidelines to ensure accurate processing of the file. Enthusiastically introduce and sell other mortgage and banking products (HELOC, checking accounts and investment services, etc.) to customers while discussing their loan with them.
